Naomi Pool for the Golan Heights (Photo: Ziv Reinstein)

This is probably the nicest tour the Golan now - route of about 120 kilometers that crosses the Golan length and width, and almost all water sources and springs are filled after the rains of the best of the winter.

Not missing springs in the Golan Heights, and most travelers usually be visited by the eye mine, Ein Eucalyptus, officers' pools for many more, but precisely during our walk this week we encountered a charming, unfamiliar spring and of course no human soul was there when we found it. From Moshav Yonatan in the south of the plateau.

Who is Naomi?

The size of the pool is 2.5 X 2.5 meters and a depth of about one meter.

The water is cool and is poured into it from a small pipe, which receives water from a nagil rail that flows on the surface.

Who is Naomi after whom the pool is named?

We have not been able to find out so far (you know? Write to us in talkbacks).

How to get there?

Through Moshav Yonatan (however, its back-east gate may be closed), and from there there is a road that goes east to the spring and at the end of the road also continues on the Golan Trail, which is marked in blue, green and white.

Another option to get there is via Road 98 and descend from it left (west) to a dirt road at the Faraj junction (before Horbat Faraj, which we wrote about here a few weeks ago).

After 1 km, turn left at the monument to a training base 9 and after 300 meters turn right and continue another 400 meters and then turn right again and good road passenger km. The pool will be on the right after 60 meters.

Consider that instead of shadow and bins Please keep the pool and environment clean.
