The BTS tourism attracts less.
The ministry indicates that it is too early to give consolidated statistics on the sectors acclaimed, or not, by future students.
But the high school for hospitality, catering and tourism professions in Chamalières (Puy-de-Dôme) is already claiming that some courses hit hard by the pandemic are those that have least appealed.
If the BTS in the hotel and catering industry is still attracting as much, requests for the BTS tourism are down sharply with 532 wishes against 931 in 2020. “The situation looks more difficult in the long term for long-distance tourism and work in travel agencies, comments the principal François Traulle.
Future high school graduates are worried.
"On the other hand, the latter notes that the hotel and catering industry, a sector which has adapted to the crisis with take-away sales," reassures "young people.
The golden rules to respect.
“High school students must register several training wishes.
They will fall back on their feet if one of their choices is not accepted, ”advises Catherine Bas.
Thus, Parcoursup allows you to make up to 10 wishes, or 10 training sessions.
And, for each wish, final year students can complete up to 10 sub-wishes, that is to say 10 different establishments where they follow the same course.
“In addition to the orientation that we favor, we must consider other avenues,” recalls our expert.

She also encourages checking that the vows entered are entered correctly.
