“The Girl with the Bracelet”, a legal thriller inspired by a true story, global warming explained by Jamy Gourmaud, le boul

DRAMA.

Justice in the dock

At 9:05 p.m. on CANAL +.

Lise Bataille, 18, her little brother Jules and their parents, Céline and Bruno, are enjoying a few days at the beach, where they own a vacation home.

But the gendarmerie comes to look for the young girl, suspected of having murdered her best friend, Flora, the day after a party.

Since then, Lise has lived with an electronic bracelet.

Two years later, the trial begins.

What do the parents really know about these intimate strangers who are their own children?

On a thread of tale tense to break, where family sequences and resumption of hearings alternate, this is the essential question posed by this film inspired by a criminal case that occurred in Argentina.

Stéphane Demoustier, brother of actress Anaïs, to whom he asked to play the general counsel, not only sought a psychological truth, but a simple truth in the course of the trial.

This is how the director entrusted the role of president to a true lawyer, lawyer Pascal-Pierre Garbarini.

Since then, the latter has stepped aside on less sensitive ground and now puts his talent at the service of the entertainment world.

It remained to find the rare pearl to embody Lise.

The filmmaker was far from imagining that by posting an ad on Facebook he would come across such a nugget.

Mélissa Guers, a trained gymnast, tempted by the acting experience, had never set foot on a movie set.

The young woman has invested so much in her character that she has linked a solid relationship with the actress Annie Mercier, more real than life in her lawyer dress.

Preserve our mountains!

Jamy Gourmaud and the consequences of global warming.

Emmanuel Pernoud

At 9:05 pm in France 3.

No more snow for winter sports and the glaciers preferred by mountaineers?

If global warming continues at the current rate, tourists will have to say goodbye from 2050 to their schuss in the Pyrenees, and only 20% of alpine resorts will remain skiable.

With Jamy, at the heart of these sites which are still enchanting for the moment, we discover the incessant work of scientists and technicians.

They must prevent avalanches from mourning any more summits, villages or valleys.

We also follow their fight against the melting of glaciers, such as the surface of the famous Mer de Glace which has already shrunk by 130 m over the past 30 years!

Another mission (impossible?) Of the specialists: to prevent rocks and massifs from descending to the bottom of the ravines.

As usual, the explanations are crystal clear.

And make you want to fight for the climate even more.

FANTASTIC.

there will only be one left

At 9:05 p.m. on 6Ter.

Killed in a battle in Scotland in the 16th century, Connor McLeod resurrects, and discovers that he is part of a very small minority of almost indestructible human beings, whose only way to overcome is to behead them.

Nowadays, he has to face a rival who has set his mind to become the last immortal ... Alternating scenes in the present (that of the 1980s) and the past, "Highlander" remains a yardstick of the fantastic genre.

Supported by actors at the height of their talent (Christophe Lambert will rarely do better, Sean Conney is perfect as always), the subject does not only give in action and special effects all-out, also showing a reflection on the love, memories, time passing.

All complemented by a muscular soundtrack featuring several Queen songs that have become hymns, such as "Who wants to live forever?"

".

“Highlander” will subsequently give rise to a saga made up of five other films, ranging from medium to absolute nanar, and three TV series!

Dare Ozon!

Pierre Niney (Adrien Rivoire) and Paula Beer (Anna, Frantz's fiancée) in “Frantz” by François Ozon.

2015 Mandarin Production -

At 8:55 p.m. on Arte.

François Ozon has often manipulated, provoked, amused us.

And "Frantz" is her most moving film since "Under the Sand", where Charlotte Rampling could not accept the death of her husband, there are already fifteen years.

It is again an impossible mourning which is at the starting point of this magnificent story, taken from an obscure play of 1925, written by Maurice Rostand, the son of the author of "Cyrano", and already adapted for the cinema by Ernst Lubitsch in 1932, under the title “Broken Lullaby”.

In a small German town, just after the First World War, a young woman, Paula Beer, the film's revelation, collects every day at the grave of her fiancé Frantz, who died in action.

She surprises a stranger there in tears (Pierre Niney), laying flowers: he is French, his name is Adrien, claims to have known Frantz well and is immediately invited to share her memories with the parents of the German soldier, happy to revive the memory of their son.

But is Adrien telling them the truth?

Filmed in black and white, with the exception of a few color sequences, this historical melody mixes aesthetic classicism and romantic power.

A masterpiece.

Two cops in Miami

At 9:15 p.m. on TMC.

Mike and Marcus are two cops from Miami, and best friends in the world.

However, as much the first is gambler and seductive, as the second is revealed to be cushy and home-like.

The duo will be undermined during an investigation into the disappearance of a large stock of cocaine that had been seized by the narcotics squad ... If we can discuss the interest of the film, we can not deny that 'it marks a milestone in the history of entertainment cinema.

It is first of all the first film of Michael Bay, who will specialize thereafter in this genre of very profitable feature film at the box office, based on testosterone, pretty girls, explosions, and bling-bling sets.

“Bad Boys” also marks the advent of Will Smith, until then best known for his role in the series “The Prince of Bel-Air”, and instantly transformed into a superstar.

Finally, the film is punctuated by a rap soundtrack which also enjoyed great commercial success, promoting the expansion of this musical genre among the general public.
