The original was shot in 1973 in Dresden, Prague and East Berlin and is now considered a classic of the fairy tale film, which is often watched in family circles, especially at Christmas.

Even today, shortly before the festive season, many German families scan the public television program to find out at what different times the German-Czech co-production "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" is running.

Apparently the film is revered in Norway as well.

There is currently a remake in progress.

In the modern edition, the role of Cinderella is played by the Norwegian pop singer Astrid S.

The backdrop is the Maihaugen open-air museum in Lillehammer, in which 200 historical buildings are exhibited.

"Three hazelnuts for Cinderella" is an adaptation of Grimm's fairy tale "Cinderella".

Astrid S thinks she is a courageous and cool role model for young girls: "You follow her journey where she is oppressed by her stepmother, she is bullied," the actress told the Norwegian broadcaster NRK.

“Little by little she is gaining self-confidence and struggling.

She rides fast and hunts even though she is a girl. ”With the help of the three magical hazelnuts, Cinderella finally succeeds in conquering the prince.
