Using special technical equipment, he covertly made intimate photos of strange women on Mallorca, and later he apparently wanted to upload the material to the Internet.
The fact that he filmed a girl in a shopping center in Palma now has consequences for a 52-year-old German: He is not allowed to travel to Spain for the next ten years.
A judge in Palma first sentenced the German to a prison sentence of two and a half years on Tuesday, reported the regional newspaper "Diario de Mallorca" and other media, citing the judiciary of the Spanish holiday island.
The sentence was then converted into a ten-year entry ban.
The man took part in the proceedings via video conference from Germany, confessed and accepted the judgment.

According to the reports, the convict also has to pay a fine of 4860 euros and the 14-year-old girl a compensation of 1000 euros.
The prosecutor had asked for four years in prison.
The act reportedly occurred in September 2019.
The security staff of a shopping center in the Mallorcan capital had caught the man while he was secretly filming the 14-year-old under the skirt.
Accordingly, in addition to a cell phone, the man is said to have used special devices to take the pictures.
When he was arrested, he testified that he was a YouTuber and published recordings of women and girls who had been secretly filmed on the internet.
The man was held in police custody for two days, but was allowed to fly back home before his trial began.
The police were unable to identify other victims of the man who showed the officers his photos after his arrest, it said.
According to the "Mallorca Zeitung", the man was therefore only prosecuted for filming the 14-year-olds.
A judicial spokesman was unable to say exactly where the man came from in Germany, whether he lived in Mallorca at the time of the crime or was a tourist there.
Until recently, secretly filming or taking photos under the skirt (so-called upskirting) or in the clipping was usually not a criminal offense in Germany.
The Federal Council decided to tighten the law in September.
The production and distribution of such recordings is imprisonment for up to two years.
