(ANSA) - ERCOLANO, 11 MAR - A logo inspired by the myth of Hercules inaugurates a new phase in the life of the Herculaneum Archaeological Park based on the connection between ancient and modern and on the participation and involvement of the public.
The new visual identity is the myth of Hercules, the hero who gives the city its name, and is centered on the knot with which the skin of the Nemean lion was placed around the neck, which in this context assumes a particular value, namely to connect the ancient city with the modern one, the inherited identity with the new generations, research with enhancement.
'The Myth with the future around' is contained in a two-minute and 30-second video, and opens the Park's multi-year programming that transforms the difficult moment linked to the health emergency into an opportunity for planning and shared work towards the relaunch.
Outlining the points of the new program, the director of the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum, Francesco Sirano, who announces two exhibitions, the one on cabinet making and wood materials that will be set up at the Reggia di Portici next to the environments that in the 1700s were occupied by the Herculanense Museum, and on food with aspects that once again show the continuity between ancient and contemporary world.
