In tuxedos and heels: Bar Refaeli hosted the fashion week gala evening

The opening gala of "Kornit Tel Aviv Fashion Week" was filmed last night ahead of its Passover broadcast.

Bar Refaeli led the event alongside Motti Rape, both wearing Shai Shalom suits.

Was it right to choose a tuxedo on an evening of dresses?

Rita sings at the Thyme Fashion Week in Tel Aviv alongside Shira Isakov (PR)

The opening gala of "Thyme Fashion Week in Tel Aviv" was filmed and recorded last night (Wednesday) at the Tel Aviv Museum, and even though the full display can only be seen on Passover in "Network 13", teasers keep coming.

This is how we got a glimpse into the climactic moment of the opening gala - Shira Iskov wearing a white strapless dress by Vivi Blaisch, just before she took the stage and thrilled everyone present.

There were quite a few other strong and significant women on stage, with the entire evening hosted by Bar Refaeli and Moti Rape.

The evening's moderators, Rafaeli and Rape, wore matching tuxedo suits designed especially for them by fashion designer Shai Shalom.

These are tailored and classic black suits, with Rape giving up a tie and preferring his button-down shirt slightly open while Rafaeli decided to maximize the tailored plus an open bow tie and black stilettos.

Victory march: Shira Isakov is wearing a strapless dress at Tel Aviv Fashion Week

The choice to dress Refaeli, a successful model and experienced presenter who has already been seen on the biggest stages in countless glittery evening gowns, in a tailored male tuxedo can stem from several reasons.

The first is the attempt to transmit power in an evening devoted entirely to female empowerment, as it is known that power suits, which were previously identified primarily with the male wardrobe, are a way for women to transmit power.

On the eve of the salute to Shira Iscove, which symbolizes most of all the important struggle in the war against women, all the dresses worn by the participants will be offered for sale in the boutique of the Women's Spirit Association, with all proceeds going to the Association for Economic Independence for Women Violent Victims.

The second possible reason for choosing to dress Refaeli in a tuxedo is the desire to differentiate the evening host from the rest of the powerful women who came to the stage wearing dresses.

This begs the question - was it really necessary?

On the one hand, the interview to give the evening host a 'slightly different' spot is true, what's more, the suit looks so good on it that it's hard to complain.

On the other hand, in an evening of dresses, with an emphasis on strapless as a sign of protest - the suit was a bit jarring and it might have been more appropriate to let it flow with a code run and choose for her a dress that corresponds with the atmosphere.

Wrong choice or missed something there?

The evening itself was a collection of things.

Along with Iscov's exciting presence, the evening is also the opening shot for a week of performances, both a donation evening and an evening of performances sponsored by Rita, who sang the song "Strong from the Wind" which she dedicated to Isakov's poetry, with a slight change in lyrics.

To these will be added awards, such as the Lifetime Achievement Award to Doreen Frankfurt and the Noa Kirl Beauty Change Award.

On the exciting stage there were lots of strong and powerful women.

First and foremost Rita wore a pink off-the-shoulder dress with a deep slit by Dror Contento.

Another person who stood out positively is Geula Eben with a great stone-colored strapless dress by Maya Negri, Lihi Lapid in a strapless dress in black heart shape with a white scuffed bottom with decorations by Elian Stolro and the one and only Gila Almagor in an Ariel Toledano dress.

Yael Abkasis also walked the runway in a Tubla dress, Titi Einahu in a Misha Gat dress, Orna Datz in a Jordan Meinfeld dress, Keren Moore in a Shahar Avnet dress, Belle Agam in a Uriah Azran dress, Hila Rahav in an Asian dress and Maya Wertheimer in a Shani Zimmerman dress.
