Ivory Coast: Prime Minister Bakayoko died of cancer in Germany

(ANSA) - ABIJAN, 11 MAR - The Prime Minister of Ivory Coast, Hamed Bakayoko, died of cancer at the age of 56 in a hospital in Germany where he was hospitalized for treatment.

This was announced in a statement by the president, Alassane Ouattara.

    Bakayoko had been prime minister since last July, when he succeeded Amadou Gon Coulibaly, who died on his return to his homeland after two months spent in France to treat a heart disease.
