The Palestinian workers' vaccination campaign in Israel and in the settlement, which began three days ago (Monday), is bearing fruit: More than 50,000 Palestinian workers with employment licenses in Israel and in Judea and Samaria were vaccinated with a first dose of vaccine.
As part of the vaccination campaign, led by the Ministry of Health and the Government Coordination Unit in the Occupied Territories, eight vaccine complexes were opened in the crossings on Monday, to which four vaccine complexes were added the next day in industrial areas in Judea and Samaria.
Every worker with a valid employment permit working in Israel or in a settlement was given the opportunity to be vaccinated in these areas.
Yesterday, the Coordinator of Government Operations in the Occupied Territories, Maj. Gen. Kamil Abu Rokon, visited the vaccination complex at the Rachel crossing, together with the head of the Civil Administration, Brigadier General Fares Atila, as part of a situation assessment in cooperation with all professional and operational factors in the field.
Coordinator of Government Operations in the Occupied Territories, Maj. Gen. Kamil Abu Rokon: "The Palestinian workers' vaccination operation is progressing significantly, and so far more than 50,000 workers have been vaccinated in the crossings and industrial areas in the settlement. On public health and on the Israeli and Palestinian economies alike. "
