(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MARCH 11 - A solution to travel insecurity while waiting for a vaccination passport.
This is the goal of Travel Wallet, the initiative launched by Ryanair, which consists of a 'virtual wallet' available on the company's app, in which passengers can upload reports of tampons carried out, vaccination certificates and other documents that could be used to travel this summer.
The company is banking on the vaccination campaign, hoping that travel restrictions will be lifted in time for summer vacations.
"Until then - the company explains in a note - passengers will be able to use Ryanair's Travel Wallet" in order to make it easier to present the documentation at the airport at the time of travel.
For the low cost airline, "the European and surrounding governments will probably not have developed a passport for vaccination by the summer", therefore "Ryanair expects that additional Covid documents may be required by some countries to travel".
