We already knew that Benjamin Biolay would conduct the orchestra that will accompany the 46th Cesars ceremony at the Olympia, broadcast live and unencrypted on Canal + this Friday from 9 p.m.

According to our information, the artist will also sing during the evening, which will be punctuated by three songs since Catherine Ringer and Alain Souchon will also give voice between the awards ceremony.

For this very special edition, the Académie des Césars has decided to put the small dishes in the big ones.

Virginie Efira will present the first award of the ceremony - that of Best First Film.

She will be followed on stage by Isabelle Huppert, Nathalie Baye, Valérie Lemercier, Chiara Mastroianni, Fanny Ardant, Charlotte Rampling, Vincent Dedienne, Louis Garrel and Reda Kateb.

The seven members of the Splendid troupe (Christian Clavier, Marie-Anne Chazel, Thierry Lhermitte, Gérard Jugnot, Josiane Balasko, Michel Blanc and Bruno Moynot) will also be present to receive their Honorary Cesar.

This Friday morning, the Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot assured that she would also go to the Olympia.

"It will be an honor and a pleasure to be there", declared on France Culture the minister, who will not be present in the room, but behind the scenes.

The president of the Césars, Véronique Cayla, and the vice-president, Eric Toledano, themselves will not face the stage, but in a box of the Olympia.

The room will only accommodate the 150 or so nominated in the different categories.

All will be masked in black and seated in armchairs separated by pedestal tables ... and provided with two negative Covid tests.
