A little hope for the fans of Alexandre Astier.
The first opus of the
Kaamelott
trilogy
will finally be released in theaters on July 21, 2020. Société nouvelle de distribution (SND), a subsidiary of the M6 group, has just announced the news on its Twitter account.
The highly anticipated feature film was first scheduled for October 2020, before being brought forward in July of the same year.
But given the scale of the pandemic, the film was finally postponed to November, then postponed indefinitely.
While this new release date is not subject to change,
Kaamelott: Premier Volet
will finally be unveiled to the general public nearly a year after initial forecasts.

According to the first trailers, we will find the cult characters of the M6 series, Arthur, Leodagan Perceval, Karadoc, Lancelot, as well as guests well known to fans: Antoine de Caulnes, Alain Chabat, or even Christian Clavier.
The English singer Sting is also in the cast, for a role still kept secret.
