More or less 210 people were kidnapped last night near Kaduna, in northern Nigeria, but 180 were rescued "in the early hours" of today by the army and therefore "about 30" students are still to be found. This was reported by the Nigerian website Daily Post citing a "declaration" by the government of the state of Kaduna and thus denying testimonies that spoke of the kidnapping of girls only. "42 female students, eight employees and 130 students" from the "Federal College of Forest Mechanization" were rescued, the site specifies. "Some of the rescued students were injured and are currently receiving medical treatment in a military facility," the site reports, citing the statement by Kaduna State Interior Minister Samuel Aruwan. The time of the abduction is indicated by the site at about 11:30 pm.
