(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 13 - The former president of Bolivia JeanineAnez was arrested last night in an operation on the outskirts of the city of Trinidad, capital of the Beni department. The information was confirmed by the Interior Minister, Carlos del Castillo, who communicated the news through his personal account on Twitter.
Anez is accused of terrorism, sedition and conspiracy in the context of the alleged "coup d'etat" trial against former president Evo Morales in 2019. "I inform the Bolivian people that Ms. Jeanine Añez has already been arrested and is currently in the hands of the police", wrote Del Castillo.
