Three anti-coup protesters were killed overnight in Rangoon, Myanmar's largest city, as hundreds of people defied curfew to hold vigils in honor of those killed since the military took power. Footage shared on social media shows police officers dragging three people through the streets of Rangoon, hitting them on the head. "The security forces arrested three young people, and as we followed them to bring them back, they attacked us," said one protester. "Two were killed," he said, adding that they had to wait until the police stopped shooting to recover the bodies. Local media Democratic Voice of Burma and Khit Thit Media also confirmed the death. A third died a few hours later from their injuries. The junta has deployed an increasing use of force against daily protests since the February 1 coup, with over 70 people killed in the demonstrations. But hundreds of thousands continued to gather across the country to demand the release of Aung San Suu Kyi - who was arrested in the February 1 coup - and a return to democracy.
