(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 13 - With the closures decided by the Government starting from Monday 15, it is estimated that the loss at national level for trade compared to a normal month in which Easter falls exceeds 15.5 billion with a fall in turnover greater than 30% of the total.
The calculation comes from the Confcommercio Offices, according to which in a month without a pandemic (such as in 2019) in which Easter falls, consumption in the sectors of clothing, furniture, bars and restaurants, accommodation services, transport excluding cars, creative services and other miscellaneous services overall exceed 50 billion.
"While waiting for the vaccinations to proceed at full capacity - says the president of the Association, Carlo Sangalli, - the use of lockdowns continues, an unsustainable strategy for companies in the service sector. Unsustainable because the compensation due is delayed and there is still no indication on the interventions to compensate for the losses of turnover by now huge.
