(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MARCH 13 - The lights of Broadway went out a year ago. But the artists promise: "We will be back". And they do it by improvising a show in Times Square to the delight of the few present. They sing and dance as they see the return to the stage. Broadway theaters are expected to reopen in September, after Labor Day which falls on September 6, unless the authorities decide to change the schedule.
Theaters were the first to close due to the pandemic, leaving hundreds of artists out of work, and forced to improvise plays on the street or online to survive.
Some have sought a completely different occupation but are now ready to return. And the reopening of cinemas in different states bodes well for Broadway. (HANDLE).
