The Ministry of Health announced tonight (Saturday) that two more visitors will be allowed to enter each resident of a health institution or welfare institution (such as nursing homes and medical centers) - this is in view of the high immunization rate against corona and the decrease in morbidity.
Visitors must be vaccinated against corona, recovering, or minors under 16 years of age.
Health Minister Yuli Edelstein said: "After the opening of the economy, the good public response to vaccines and its effect on reducing morbidity also allows us to alleviate, if only slightly, those staying in health and welfare institutions. .
"We are aware of the strong need to visit family members who are staying in institutions for a long time, and to ask family members to visit their hospitalized loved ones," said Health Ministry Director General Prof. Hezi Levy.
