March 8

, International Women's Day, we chose to evoke the disappearance of the poet Louise Colet.

We often remember her famous love affair with Alfred de Musset, Gustave Flaubert, by confining her to the role of passionate and tortured muse.

The writer has yet published many works which at the time were awarded prestigious prizes.

Louise Colet will fight all her life against the prejudices of her colleagues.

A committed and militant woman, she did not hesitate to support the ideas of the 1848 revolution and then those of the Commune.
