One week before the beginning of spring, winter shows its uncomfortable side once again.
After the stormy weather of the past few days, people must also expect clouds, rain and snow on Sunday, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Offenbach.
Thunderstorms with sleet are likely to come down here and there.
According to the meteorologists, snow or snow showers can be expected both in the mountains and at lower altitudes.
The maximum values are therefore between one and ten degrees.
Again, stormy gusts in areas and gusts of wind in high altitudes are expected to sweep across the country.
Considerable amounts of fresh snow expected in the Alps
On the night of Monday, according to the DWD, shower-like rain falls, especially in the west and southwest of the republic.
Snow should fall in the mountains, so smooth roads must be expected.
In the southeast, according to the DWD, sleet or snow falls down to the lower elevations.
Here, too, threatens to become slippery.
The lows are between four and minus three degrees in the mountains.
During the day it continues with showers, snow and local sleet thunderstorms, as the meteorologists announced.
In some cases, considerable amounts of fresh snow are to be expected in the Alps.
The maximum values on Monday are between two and nine degrees.
As in the past few days, gusts of wind and storms are likely to blow widespread on Monday.
In the low mountain ranges and in the Alps in particular, there was a threat of severe gusts of wind.
