Dresden - In times of lockdowns in the wake of the corona pandemic *, shopping in stores has become much more cumbersome.

Since the beginning of March, the federal government has made the measures dependent on the incidence value of the respective region, which makes it possible to go shopping in furniture stores or clothing stores by appointment *.

An IKEA customer has now publicly shared her bad experience with the new system.

The furniture store has recently been able to welcome its customers again, but the processes are still anything but fluid in view of the “Click & Meet” system.

“Click & Meet” was recently introduced in retail to collect the necessary customer data and ensure fixed appointments for consumers.

At the Dresden location of the Swedish furniture chain, however, the organization is not exactly organized, as a post from an angry customer reveals.

When it was finally my turn, I was not allowed in due to the lack of an appointment.

Even though I had a barcode for my return that said I should contact customer service at IM store.

Now I've taken the stupid lamp back with me.

All crazy.

On Twitter, she let her frustration with the implementation of the system run free.

The user first posted a photo showing numerous people waiting in line in front of the IKEA branch.

“At least 200 m long queue at Click & Meet at IKEA,” she writes below.

Most buyers who go on a shopping tour with the alternative hygiene concepts expect long waiting times.

But the Twitter user had a completely different problem.

"When it was finally my turn, they didn't let me in due to the lack of an appointment," she says in her post on Friday.

"Even though I had a barcode for my return and it said I should contact customer service at IM store."

"Click & Meet" at Ikea: The customer is turned away and rumbles against the furniture store - "Everyone is crazy"

Apparently the customer was not served despite her barcode.

In an email from Ikea, which she adds as a screenshot to the original tweet, it is clear that the customer only needs the email, the proof of purchase and the product for the express return.

“Now I've taken the stupid lamp back with me.

Everyone is crazy, ”writes the disappointed consumer.

"Service desert Germany," agrees a user.

While new hygiene concepts continue to protect the safety of customers, there will probably be more annoying cases like that of the user in the future.
