A professional chef claims that an excellent steak can be made in their toast - leaving his followers stunned
Chef Craig Harker was pleasantly surprised after trying to make a steak in a pop-up toaster and came up with a result that he says equates to the taste of a roast steak.
We're sorry, but we've still had a hard time recommending it to you at home

Young woman prepares steak for her boyfriend - in a controversial way (@ itsmeju1iette)
In November last year a video she shared using Tiktok went viral after revealing her very bizarre method of making steak.
In the video, she took two thick chunks of steak, put them in a pop-up toaster, waited for the steaks to get a brown color on the outside, took them out onto a plate and popped them in the sauce.
So it would seem to us repulsive in taste and dangerous in health.
This month, however, pub owner and chef Craig Harker, who himself was exposed to the video, decided to give this method a try, made a steak in their toaster and determined that it tasted like a roast steak.
When a professional chef claims that you can roast a steak in a toaster and get a dish that is edible - you probably already have to take it seriously.
Craig Harker, 33, decided to put the grilled steak method to the test.
The owner of The George Pub and Grill in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, England, purchased a cheap toaster and tried to put a few different pieces of steak in it to test the method.
He seasoned the steak as he usually does by grilling in a pan and put it in the toaster for a few minutes until it has reached a medium-rare degree.
He himself was surprised by the steak and claimed it came out just as delicious as a steak roasted in a pan.
Shocked by the result, he shared photos of the dish on the pub's Facebook page - and his customers were left speechless.

This is how he prepared the steak:
Although Craig was impressed with the result, he warns his customers not to try it at home - mostly for fear of igniting the kitchen.
He said: "I saw it online and thought to myself that there is no way you can roast a steak in their toaster, so I had to try it myself because I know how to make a good steak. I checked it first with Sheitel to check the correct Haggadot. I seasoned it the way I was. "Usually does, because if you season it well, maybe it still came out delicious even though it was made in the toaster. I played a bit with the settings on the side of the toaster and the first one came out to a degree, so I put it in the toaster for the second time but this time it was overused."
He added: "I worked by trial and error. When I placed the next steak, it came out medium rare. It was pink in the middle but well done on the outside. It tasted really good. If anyone does not know how to roast a good steak in a pan, just put it in the toaster. I do not. I'll give it to anyone, but it's fun to show it to people! "
The chef, the toaster and the steak
Although its pub is closed to diners due to the UK closure, Craig continues to offer a self-collection and self-collection service to its customers.
To his surprise, he is busier than ever.
He added: "We make deliveries and self-collection and luckily our customers are really loyal to us. The response to the steak online has been amazing. We have a large number of followers on Facebook, but I warned people not to try it at home. I did not expect it to work at all. You always see these videos. "They appear on the net and do not attach importance to them, but this time I was shocked that my steak came out in the quality of steak that you get in a restaurant."
And here is the ticketing video from which he was inspired:
