This was specified by the commissioner of the Juridical-Administrative Area of the Crisis Unit of the Region, Antonio Rinaudo.

Pending the decisions of the Judicial Authority and the Drug Supervisory Commission, the administration of AstraZeneca vaccines belonging to different batches has therefore already resumed.

The precautionary suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccine therefore lasted a couple of hours and was aimed - the Piedmont Region Crisis Unit still specifies - to identify and isolate the batch of which the dose administered to the deceased Biella teacher belonged.

The administration of AstraZeneca vaccines belonging to different batches is now continuing regularly - the Regional Chrysiological Unit continues - pending the decisions of the Aifa and the Piedmontese Commission for Pharmacovigilance, which has already been convened.
