"The dramatic situation in which we find ourselves, and which involves the whole world, calls on our believers, through the voice of the Holy Father Francis, to dedicate 24 hours of intense prayer to God the Father", said the porporate.
In recent days, Cardinal Bassetti, after having consulted with the bishops, indicated that parish and religious communities not reserved for prayer and worship should be made available for vaccination activities.
"Vaccination, on a global level - underlined Cardinal Bassetti -, is the only way to get rid of this plague that is affecting the world. Shadow areas on the planet remain about the administration of the vaccine, with the speed that this virus has to hit. , of transforming and spreading, we would all remain under the nightmare that other phases of the epidemic could follow one another ".
Bassetti, archbishop of Perugia-Città della Pieve, presided over the celebration together with the archpriest Don Simone Sorbaioli.
