"The data is encouraging":

Health Minister Yuli Edelstein was interviewed this morning (Sunday) on 103FM, and noted favorably the disease state we are in.

He said, "There is no reason to assume that there will be a closure until Passover, the miracle we all dreamed of happens to us - the miracle of vaccines."

Although the cabinet of experts headed by Prof. Ran Blitzer announced that he would recommend not requiring wearing masks in the open, Edelstein announced that he did not support this move.

"We have more than a million people who are vaccinated and did not get vaccinated and we have 2.5 million children who are not guilty of anything, so in this situation I see no reason to take off the masks, it will only increase the morbidity," he said.

It should be noted that the director general of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Hezi Levy, also stated last week: "There is currently no thought of abolishing the obligation to wear masks in the State of Israel."

On the claim that Israel is Pfizer's "experimenter": "There is no reason to think that there is any problem with vaccines. Millions of people around the world have been vaccinated and we cannot assume that there is a danger here."
