A 43-year-old man from Baden-Württemberg wrecked his new, 360,000 euro sports car on the transfer drive.
His co-driver was seriously injured in the accident on a wet road, as the police announced on Sunday evening.
The driver himself was not injured.
He had picked up the 720 PS strong car on Saturday in Berlin.
According to the police, it was a one-off, with everything from the seat seam to the painting being individually designed.
The car was equipped with summer tires.
On the way home, the accident happened on the autobahn 5 near Gemünden in Hesse on a wet road.
According to initial findings, the driver initially slipped the car into a concrete sliding wall due to improper speed and then crashed into a crash barrier.
A rear wheel of the car tore off and collided with a minibus in oncoming traffic.
According to the police, the passenger was not injured in a life-threatening manner.
