Covid: positive net decline, but -95 thousand tests. Deaths increase

There are just 15,267 coronavirus test positives in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 21,315, over 6 thousand more, but the swabs and antigen tests have dropped by almost 95 thousand units. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 15 - There are just 15,267 coronavirus test positives in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday there were 21,315, over 6 thousand more, but the swabs and antigen tests have dropped by almost 95 thousand units.

The victims have instead increased by almost 100 units in 24 hours: they are 354, yesterday they were 264.


    179,015 tests were carried out for the coronavirus, yesterday they were 273,966.

A sharp usual decline on Sundays.


    The positivity rate (positive / test ratio) today is 8.5%, yesterday it was 7.8%, so today it is up by 0.7%.


    There are 243 admissions to intensive care for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Italy, according to data from the Health Minister.

The daily balance between entries and exits is 75 more patients, bringing the total to 3,157.

In the ordinary wards (pneumatology and infectious diseases) the patients increased by 820 units compared to yesterday, bringing the total to 25,338.

The cases since the beginning of the epidemic in Italy are 3,238,394, the deaths 102,499.


    The currently positives drop by 909 units, the total is now 530,357.

The healed and discharged are 2,605,538 (+15,807 compared to yesterday).

There are 501,862 people in home isolation (-1804 compared to yesterday).
