Student marches and gatherings are planned in several cities in France this Tuesday, at the call of a dozen union organizations

“Many of us live below the poverty line.

"A dozen left-wing union and political organizations are calling on young people to mobilize throughout France on Tuesday" for their future "in a context of economic and psychological distress linked to Covid-19.

Among the demands is in particular an emergency plan against precariousness.

The mobilization of this Tuesday can take the form of demonstrations or rallies.

In Paris, a procession must leave at 2 p.m. from the Ministry of Labor to end its march in front of the Ministry of Higher Education.

The Ministry of Labor is a “symbolic” starting point, indicates the president of Unef Mélanie Luce.

It aims to demand the creation of stable jobs for young people, on CDI, and access to RSA for those under 25.

The promised aid, "bandage on a wooden leg"

For several months, the government considers having heard this message and announced a series of measures to fight against insecurity such as the creation of "psy checks" or meals for one euro in U restaurants. These measures are considered "insufficient" by many organizations.

“These aids are a bandage on a wooden leg.

We are asking for an emergency plan of 1.5 billion euros ”starting with an immediate increase in grants and APL (housing assistance), recalls Mélanie Luce.

His union is also asking for a consultation to be opened for the creation of an autonomy allowance for all students.
