Ingredients

    • ½2 cups basmati rice

    • 1 clove crushed garlic

    • ½ Olive oil + 4 tbsp

    • 1 cupcake

    • 1 carrot cut into cubes or thin circles (not necessary)

    • Salt and ground black pepper

    • ½ Chopped basil or mint or dill

    • 1 teaspoon turmeric (not necessary)

    • 3 peeled potatoes

Preparation

How to make makluba chips?

  • 1 Rinse the rice well and soak in water for about an hour.

    Bring to a boil in a saucepan with plenty of water and a teaspoon of salt.

    After two minutes there are boiling bubbles, turn off and filter.

  • 2 Add the garlic, a quarter cup of the olive oil, peas, carrots, a flat teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper to the filtered rice, as well as the herbs and mix well.

  • 3 Cut the potatoes into French fries, season with half a teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of pepper and 4 tablespoons of olive oil (you can also use half a teaspoon of turmeric and half a teaspoon of cumin).
