• Surfers were surprised to find that "Ofira and Berkowitz" is nominated in the category of the best current affairs program

Even before the television awards ceremony of the Israeli Academy of Film and Television took place, and before the winners were selected, a storm arose on the network regarding the ceremony, with the starring interview program of Ofira Asaig and Eyal Berkovich.

The program in question is nominated for an award in the "Best Current Affairs Program" category, with seven other programs competing against it: "All Inclusive", "The Pipe", "Morning News", "Before the News", "From the Other Side", "Pocket Games" and "Next" .

The announcement of the program's well-known scandals it produces every week, close to the opening of the vote, provoked a wave of reactions from web surfers who were divided into two prominent and stubborn camps: those who are sure the show deserves every award and those who think it should not be broadcast at all. Watch.

"Continue in your true and sharp way, always tell the truth face to face, and whoever does not like to hear hides and runs away. Your victory. Straighten up," a surfer supported the choice and others reinforced: "The best on TV. All other programs are based on hypocrisy. Congratulations."

"Excellent," added another surfer, "you deserve the directness and courage to say what so-called journalists are afraid to say."

Along with the reinforcements from the show’s fans, hundreds of surfers could not hide their anger from the nominees and spared no harsh criticism.

"Sub-level of a plan, just a joke," an angry surfer said.

"If this program is nominated for an award then the name will have mercy. Where have we come from ?!".

"The shallowest program that exists. We receive awards for incitement, hatred and dirt ...", another surfer added.

"The true value of the 'Ofira and Berkowitz' program strives for zero," commented a surfer, and others added: "Spitting in the face of those to whom the discourse culture and level of discussion still says something. How much lower? An example and role model for our youth."

"A candidacy that indicates how low the television broadcasts have gone down. Two lame, shouting, lacking minimal knowledge. The generation is dwindling," another surfer concluded in despair.

"Ofira and Berkowitz" aired in 2017, and is considered from day one to be a maker of provocations and a rating bomb thanks to the controversial interviews she brings to the screen every week.

Among the scandals mentioned in the program in recent years, you can find the interviews with Stav Streshko, Shir Elmaleh, Dudu Farouk, Mani Naftali, Avivit Bar Zohar, "I am Shulman", Amir Hatzroni and of course the "Crime Organization" interview with Mickey Zohar and the "Steak" interview with the Minister Miri Regev.

The talents of Keshet 12 are also not immune when it comes to Ofira and Barco.
