The time has come to start planning the future of post-covid work in New York.
And maybe not just in the Big Apple.
A future that could be very different from what happened until last year.
At least that's what emerges from a survey by Partnership for New York City, according to which only 22% of large Manhattan employers will ask all workers to return to the office full-time after the extraordinary measures still in place for the coronavirus. .
About 66%, as US media reports, said they intend to adopt a hybrid model between days in the office and days at home, another 9% will not require workers to return to the office at all, and 4% said that it will depend on the role.
In total, about 4 out of 5 of the people who worked in offices in Manhattan will not return full-time.
NYC will likely be forced in part to reinvent itself, although for Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase & Co., there are "huge weaknesses" in working primarily on Zoom and other video conferencing platforms.
