If Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal suspend the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine as a precaution, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) remains "firmly convinced" of the benefits of the AstraZeneca vaccine against the Covid-19, announces its director, after the report of possible blood clots but without a proven link at this stage.
In a video conference held Tuesday, Emer Cooke said the European regulator is "examining" the "adverse effects associated with all vaccines" against the coronavirus and investigating cases of blood clots potentially linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The EMA's decision will be made public on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran spoke to the National Assembly.
“The AstraZeneca vaccine is very effective.
This is a very valuable vaccine in our fight against the pandemic, ”he declared.
