At the end of the third social dialogue conference, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced on Monday the reintroduction of the famous exceptional purchasing power bonus, tax-exempt and exempt from social contributions.
This bonus, open to all employees up to € 1,000, may be increased to € 2,000 for companies and branches that have entered into a profit-sharing agreement by the end of the year or that have opened negotiations on the valuation of so-called
“second line”

By making this gesture to employees, the government is dusting off one of its measures put in place in 2019 and renewed in 2020 to improve the purchasing power of the French in response to the “yellow vests” movement.
In the first year, some 4.8 million French people were able to benefit from a bonus of an average amount of 401 euros when, in 2020 it concerned more than 6.2 million employees for an average sum of 460 euros.
