Shortly before the exclusive interview with Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, the allegations became public.

According to the British Times, there was a complaint against Meghan in October 2018, not long after the couple's wedding, inside Buckingham Palace.

Now the US broadcaster CNN reports that the palace has turned on an outside company to investigate the allegations.

It should be about two personal assistants Meghans.

They accuse her of having built up a lot of pressure.

There is talk of humiliation and tears.

The two would have given up their jobs.

The "Times" also refers to internal e-mails.

CNN quoted a palace spokesman on Monday (local time) as follows: “Our efforts to clarify the circumstances surrounding the allegations against the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are continuing.

But we will not comment on this in public. «The name of the external company is not yet known.

There was also no comment from Meghan and Harry's camp on Monday.

In the past, however, the allegations had been referred to as a "calculated smear campaign".

Allegations of racism - and lack of support from the palace

In the interview with the US broadcaster CBS, the Duchess had made serious allegations.

Meghan, whose mother is African American, said that the British royal family was worried about the color of his skin before the birth of their first son Archie.

During pregnancy, for example, she had to hold discussions about how dark his skin would be.

That's why, as Harry's conversations with the "family" showed, they didn't want to give him the title of prince.

The former actress did not reveal who specifically raised these racist concerns.

Life in the orbit of the palace was so stressful that Meghan claims to have had suicidal thoughts.

"I just didn't want to be alive anymore," she said on CBS.

At that time, she was also afraid of being alone because she could have harmed herself.

She turned to her husband, Prince Harry, and the palace to help her.

However, no offer of help had come from the palace.

The accusations of racism were rejected by the royal family.

You take the allegations seriously.

However, they would be "worked through privately by the family."
