The Catholic Church will not bless homosexual couples in the future either - and has thus triggered criticism.
The comedian Carolin Kebekus is also angry.
"This decision reveals again the manifold misanthropy of the Catholic Church," said the 40-year-old of the news agency dpa.
The church proves once again that she does not want to move, least of all in her sexual morality.

Kebekus left the church some time ago, among other things to protest against discrimination against women.
But she still considers herself a Catholic.
She has repeatedly dealt with the Church in her programs.
On Monday the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith declared that the Catholic Church was not authorized to bless homosexual partnerships.
Blessings in human relationships are only possible when they serve God's purposes.
Any form of blessing that recognizes homosexual partnerships is not permitted.
