In his role as Tesla boss, Elon Musk has acquired a new job title - and from now on calls himself “Technoking of Tesla”.
Was CEO too boring for him?
We're used to some crazy ideas from Elon Musk *.
The successful entrepreneur has already chosen the unusual name X Æ A-12 (pronounced: “X-Ash-A-Twelve”) for his youngest son, and has given his fans some guesswork.
Now the Tesla boss has given himself a new, unusual job title.
No more CEO: Elon Musk now officially calls himself "Technoking of Tesla"
Instead of the CEO, the visionary now officially calls himself
“Technoking of Tesla”
.
He has officially registered this title with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and is effective immediately, with effect from March 15, 2021.
But that's not all: He has also given his CFO Zach Kirkhorn, CFO at Tesla, a new job title: from now on he can call himself
“Master of Coin”
.
Of course, the two will retain their functions as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Why does Elon Musk have a new job title?
Why all this?
So far, Musk has remained silent about the reasons for the name change.
Nothing can be inferred from the notification from the stock exchange supervisory authority either.
He keeps showing that Elon Musk has a weakness for techno.
He is even supposed to be planning a techno club in the new Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg.
And “Master of Coin”?
Musk is probably alluding to Tesla's investment in the cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
A reference to the "Game of Thrones" series is also likely - here the king's treasurer may call himself the "Master of Coin".
