Eilat is the most sought after destination in the world for Israelis this coming summer
In a large study recently conducted by the global holiday booking site Booking, it was found that of all the destinations we would like to vacation in this summer - the most popular southern resort town.
It is followed by Tel Aviv, London, New York and Paphos, ahead of Crete, which is only in eighth place

Israel is among the countries that are vaccinating its citizens at the fastest rate.
Accordingly, those citizens are also likely to be among the first in the world to be able to try and return to a local and overseas tourism routine, as far as the situation allows.
A recent study by the global holiday booking site Booking, found that more than three-quarters (77%) of Israeli travelers said they longed for a moment when they could travel and travel again.
Now, as the vaccination campaign progresses, and as summer approaches, it seems that Israelis are really not wasting time to secure a vacation this coming summer.
More than a third (35%) of them indicated that they want to travel even more than before, to make up for lost time in 2020.

This rating indicates that despite the rapid pace of vaccinations, Israelis still prefer to spend time close to home before squinting out.
The study also found that more than two-fifths (43%) of Israeli travelers plan to discover a new destination in their area or country, with half of Israelis (50%) saying they want to take their time and enjoy nature where they live.

The international destination that Israelis dream of: London

Crete only in eighth place
In places 6-8 of the destinations that Israelis searched for, you can see cities in neighboring countries that Israelis like to "jump" to for short vacation outings - Paphos in Cyprus, Istanbul in Turkey and Crete in Greece, respectively.
In ninth place on the list of expectations and dreams of Israelis is Amsterdam in the Netherlands, which is expected to attract many travelers, as long as it is safe, when it hosts the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in May.
The opening ten is closed by the romantic city of Europe, Paris, which jumped one place and entered the top ten after being ranked 11th last year.
