Fridays For Future, the youth movement for the climate inspired by Greta Thunberg, is organizing a new global climate strike for tomorrow, Friday 19 March.
There will be demonstrations in 7,500 cities on all continents and on all social networks.
The movement expects to involve 14 million people worldwide.
"Fridays For Future - the Italian activists write in a statement - everywhere in the world protest again because politicians and large polluting companies set emission reduction targets to be achieved in 20 or 30 years and promise that, in the distant future, they will something to counter the climate crisis. But these empty promises are useless, because we cannot come to terms with the laws of physics. We need immediate and concrete actions, in line with the principle of climate justice and with science " .
In Italy from 11.15 to 12.00 there will be a live online Youtube meeting with Roberto Mercadini (theater actor, writer and youtuber) and Professor Vincenzo Balzani of the University of Bologna, scientist and popularizer.
At 6.30 pm there will be an online action: a video call on Zoom with music, speeches and a Social Bombing on Instagram and other social networks.
During the day it will be possible to follow the live broadcast from the squares on the social networks of Fridays For Future Italia.
