Vanessa Bryant, the widow of basketball star Kobe Bryant, posted the names of four Los Angeles police officers on Instagram.

She accuses them of showing other people photos of his bodies after her husband's helicopter crash.

In addition to Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, the pilot and six other people died in the crash in January 2020.

Vanessa Bryant's Instagram posts include pictures of parts of her lawsuit that have been modified to include the cops' names.

The lawsuit alleges, among other things, that one of the police officers shared photos of Kobe Bryant's remains with a bartender.

None of the accused were directly involved in the investigation into the crash and had the legitimacy to take or pass on the photos, according to the lawsuit.

The widow is suing the district and the local police, the Los Angeles District Sheriff's Department.

She claims damages for negligence and invasion of privacy.

According to the lawsuit, a police officer is said to have had up to a hundred such photos on his private smartphone, according to an investigation report.

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) recently announced that the helicopter pilot had made a critical mistake before the crash.

The pilot lost his orientation on January 26, 2020 in the clouds of the hilly area near Los Angeles.

It was forbidden by law to continue the visual flight into the clouds, but he did it anyway, said the chairman of the NTBS.

The accident and the death of the 41-year-old athlete caused consternation around the world.

Bryant's widow has filed a lawsuit against the helicopter company.

Kobe Bryant is considered one of the best basketball players in history.

He played non-stop for the Los Angeles Lakers in the US basketball league NBA between 1996 and 2016 and set numerous records during this time.

Away from the square, however, there were also dark chapters.

In the summer of 2003, Bryant was arrested in Colorado on charges of sexual assault.

Bryant denied this but admitted to having committed adultery.

The lawsuit was later dropped because the plaintiff refused to testify.

Bryant apologized, a civil lawsuit resulted in an out-of-court settlement.
