Two men and one woman have been sentenced to suspended sentences of between one and two years for supporting the right-wing extremist »Gruppe Freital«.

The Dresden Higher Regional Court (OLG) saw it as proven that the defendants had participated in crimes of the association classified as right-wing terrorist or had assisted in them.

It was the third trial brought against members and supporters of the group.

According to the court, the current judgment was issued because of the trio's involvement in acts in connection with an attack on a left-wing alternative housing project in Dresden in 2015. The three defendants had admitted to supporting the group during the trial and admitted the allegations.

The judgment is not yet final and can be appealed.

The main perpetrators of the »Gruppe Freital« had already been sentenced in 2018 by the Higher Regional Court of the Saxon capital to juvenile and imprisonment terms of between four and ten years.

The judges found the eight accused guilty of forming a terrorist group.

In the meantime, another trial against members and supporters took place in front of the OLG.

This recently ended with imprisonment and suspended sentences of between six months and two and a half years.

Three men were charged with participating in the group's acts in 2015.

It was about an bomb attack on the car of a Freital Left City Council, an attack on an office of the Left Party and an explosives attack on an asylum seeker accommodation.

In addition, a woman was charged with support who had posed with a Nazi salute.
