(ANSA) - RIAD, MARCH 19 - An oil refinery in Saudi Arabia was the subject of a drone attack, which caused a fire in the plant, near the capital Riad.
This was announced by the Saudi government.
Yemeni Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attack, according to the Saudi Energy Minister.
The attack resulted in a fire, which however "is under control", was added in a note.
No casualties were reported and oil supplies were not interrupted.
Pro-Iranian rebels, fighting the Saudis in Yemen, said they targeted energy giant Saudi Aramco in Riyadh with six drones.
There have already been several drone attacks on the Israeli systems, attributed to the pro-Iranian Yemeni rebels.
