(ANSA) - LONDON, MARCH 19 - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson received the first dose of Covid vaccine in London today as expected for his age group (he is 56 years old): Johnson had himself injected as an example the serum developed in Oxford and produced by AstraZeneca, of which some EU countries had interrupted the administration due to fears of side effects linked to single episodes of thrombosis, before the assurances of the European drug agency (EMA).
Johnson yesterday encouraged fellow countrymen about the "far outweighing" benefits of approved vaccines: including AstraZeneca, never discontinued in the UK.
