On the day one year since the announcement of the quarantine, which lasted for 232 days, the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported this Friday
another 113 deaths and 8,160 new cases
of coronavirus throughout the country.
This is the fourth day in a row with more than eight thousand infected.
Thus, Argentina already accumulates 54,476 fatalities and 2,234,913 infections since the detection of the first positive in the national territory, on March 3, 2020.
Of the last deceased, 32 resided in the province of Buenos Aires, 12 in San Luis, nine in Córdoba, eight in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA), seven in Salta, six in Tucumán;
five in Corrientes, Misiones and Santa Fe;
four in Jujuy and Santa Cruz;
three in Entre Ríos;
two in Chubut, Formosa, Neuquén, Río Negro and San Juan;
and one in Chaco, La Pampa and Santiago del Estero.
The province of Buenos Aires was once again the district to report the most infected, with 3,542 positives, followed by the City of Buenos Aires (884), Córdoba (683), Santa Fe (522), Tucumán (339) and Corrientes (357) .
Then they were located Entre Ríos (241), Mendoza (213), Chaco (166), Neuquén (159), Santa Cruz (133), Chubut (127), Misiones (119), Catamarca (116) and Santiago del Estero (114 ).
The part was completed by San Juan (92), Río Negro (70), La Pampa (68), Salta (60), Jujuy (51), Tierra del Fuego (38), La Rioja (26), Formosa (25) and San Luis (15).
In the last hours, 61,579 tests were carried out, with a
positivity of 13.9%.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, 8,251,376 diagnostic tests for this disease have been performed.
Of the 163,708 people who are suffering from the disease, 3,534 remain hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU).
The occupancy level of beds in this sector is 60.8% in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and 55.2% in the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, in the last hours a new Aerolineas Argentinas flight arrived at the Ezeiza airport with a cargo of 330 thousand doses of component 1 of the
Sputnik V
vaccine
.
These doses, which will be distributed to the 24 jurisdictions in the next few days, will be used to strengthen the inoculation of people over 70 years of age.
In a surprising national chain, President Alberto Fernández acknowledged that he is not inoculating himself "at the desired rate", although he hid behind the "global shortage of vaccines."

Internationally, several European countries resumed the administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine, after the European Medicines Agency (EMA) concluded that the drug is "safe and effective."
As stated, "the benefits of the vaccine far outweigh the risks, the drug is safe and effective for any age category. It is not associated with an increased risk of thromboembolism, nor are there problems with some batches."
In the same vein, a panel of experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) argued that the AstraZeneca vaccine, including the Covishield that is administered in Argentina, has "a positive risk-benefit profile, with enormous potential to prevent infections and reduce deaths worldwide. "
"The available data do not suggest any general increase in coagulation conditions such as deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism after the administration of the vaccines," the international body concluded.
