"The lifting of the suspension

is a great relief because we have to give a strong acceleration to the vaccination campaign

. In the face of the very rare adverse events we must instead consider that we now have a high incidence of Covid in the country with 150 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants. Now give up a strong vaccination campaign it would be extremely risky ".

This was stated by the Director General of Prevention of the ministry Gianni Rezza, during the press conference organized by the Ministry of Health following the pronouncement of the EMA on the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The national RT remains at 1.16.

"

We were at 200 thousand vaccinations a day and unfortunately we had a setback

. We know that we need to double this rate. The vaccination campaign can now go live also because in mid-April a new fourth vaccine will become available".

THE CONFERENCE

"

We have enhanced the principle of maximum precaution by arriving at the temporary suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccine

. It has been estimated that out of 20 million people vaccinated in the EU and GB there is no evidence that the AstraZeneca vaccine, which covers 100% for severe forms, the risk of thromboembolic complications increases. In all there are 25 thrombotic cases out of 20 million vaccinated and a causal link cannot be demonstrated and we remind you that Covid infection is much more dangerous also for this type of infections ".

This was stated by the president of the CSS Franco Locatelli during the press conference at the ministry.

"The main news to point out is that the benefits of the AstraZeneca vaccine far outweigh the risks and therefore the vaccine is safe with no age restrictions and no substantial contraindications for use. It is not associated with an increased thrombotic risk, nor are there any problems. with respect to lots ".

This was stated by the director general of AIFA, Nicola Magrini during the press conference organized by the Ministry of Health following the pronouncement of the EMA on the AstraZeneca vaccine.

"Causal link with rare thrombotic events is not proven but further studies will be initiated. The justified concern arising from the reporting of these few serious cases led to the suspension of the vaccination campaign in the EU. But the rare events can be better known only afterwards. use. There is currently no causal link ".

Aifa

- explained Magrini - will

express in the next few days an official document against a preventive or prophylactic use of

anti-inflammatory

drugs such as aspirin, tachipirina or heparin

.

There is no reason to use preventive or post-vaccination medications because there is no proven link.

There are no indications even for women who use piollola ". This was said by Aifa director Nicola Magrini during the press conference organized by the Ministry of Health following the pronouncement of the EMA on the AstraZeneca vaccine." The vaccinated are calm and safe and alone if there are symptoms, contact your doctor ".
