Apps such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat are also affected.
It is not known whether there is a connection.
Shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday evening, March 19, 2021, malfunction reports from all providers and apps skyrocketed.
WhatsApp received over 190,000 error messages, while Instagram received around 60,000.
The other sufferers also accumulated several thousand complaints in a very short time.
