More than two months after the storm on the US Capitol, the FBI is still looking for some of the most violent rioters.
Now, for the first time, the investigators have published wanted videos showing ten people attacking police officers.
"The FBI is asking the public to help identify ten people suspected of being involved in some of the most violent attacks against police officers," the deputy director, Steven M. D'Antuono, was quoted in a statement on Thursday .
On January 6, the police protected the US Capitol and "our democratic process" and were attacked "outrageously", according to D'Antuono.
This is what the videos would clearly show.
In it you can see the alleged perpetrators swinging batons, pulling gas masks from the faces of the security forces and shooting into the crowd with something that looks like pepper spray.
The pictures are often shaky, they show scuffle and the moment when a group of demonstrators push the doors of the Capitol open.
The videos begin with a warning that violent images will follow.
More than 300 demonstrators have already been found with the help of clues from the population, according to the FBI.
65 of them were arrested for attacking police officers.
However, some of the perpetrators are still at large.
"We know that it can be a difficult decision to pass on information about family, friends or colleagues," says the message.
"But it's the right thing to do, and the FBI still needs your help to identify the suspects."
In addition to the videos, the FBI continuously updates a photo index with wanted people.
There are currently 484 mug images online.
