A day after the arrival in the country of 330,000 vaccines against the coronavirus, the Government confirmed this Saturday a

new flight to Moscow to search for more doses of Sputnik V

, although it did not report how many will arrive in the country in the eighth operation to Russia.

"After receiving yesterday the seventh operation from Russia, we can confirm that tomorrow at 02:30 am the eighth flight of Aerolineas Argentinas takes off to Moscow to bring more doses of the Sputnik V vaccine to the country," wrote the president of the airline flag, Pablo Ceriani, on Twitter.

Moments later, it was reported by Aerolineas Argentinas via the same route.

The new Aerolineas flight, under number AR1062, would arrive at Sheremetyevo International Airport at 1 am (local time).

"It will remain until 6:00 am, carrying out the vaccine loading work and will land at the Ezeiza International Airport at 6:35 pm on Monday, after 18 hours of non-stop flight," the government reported.

In the 7 flights completed to and from the Russian capital, 2,799,000 doses of Sputnik V arrived in the country. In addition, a flight was made to Beijing, in China, in which they brought 908,000 doses of the vaccine produced by Sinopharm.

So far, the number of vaccines that have arrived in the country on Aerolineas Argentinas flights is 3,707,000.

The new shipment of vaccines is great news after the doses that arrived in the last hours that would barely last three days.

President Alberto Fernández celebrated on the national network this Thursday night that the country in the last week had been able to apply an average of 100,000 daily vaccinations.

This "acceleration" is what at the same time reveals the impossibility of continuing with this rhythm with the available dose flow.
