(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 22 - The Sunday edition of the British tabloid Daily Mail, the Mail on Sunday, has had the go-ahead to appeal against a sentence that required him to publish on the front page and on page 3 a declaration on the victory by Meghan Markle of a lawsuit against the newspaper.
The BBC reports it.
The Duchess of Sussex had sued the Mail on Sunday for posting a letter to her father in August 2018 and had won.
An Alta Cortea judge then ruled that the tabloid would make public its privacy violation against Prince Harry's wife and publish it for a week.
Now the declaration is on hold pending the decision of the Court of Appeal which must take place by 6 April.
Just a month ago, a judge ruled that the letter to Thomas Markle was "personal and private" and Meghan had "a reasonable expectation that the content would remain private."
