An eleven-year-old girl died while playing with her dogs in the city of Istra, northwest of Moscow.
The animals romped around while walking and then probably pulled on the long scarf that the child was wearing, reported the Interfax news agency.
The fifth grader then couldn't breathe and died.
Passers-by found the lifeless body and a torn scarf.
The emergency doctor could only determine the girl's death.
The animals were euthanized.
Authorities did not share how many dogs the student took out on Sunday.
