Covid, Johnson: 'The third wave is a concrete prospect'

The UK needs to be aware of the concrete prospect of a "third wave" returning from continental Europe of variant-fueled Covid infections.

Boris Johnson said this in Downing Street, insisting on the tightening adopted at the borders and remaining very cautious on the timing of resumption of international travel.

The premier then insisted on vaccines, confirming the goal of "offering a first dose" to all adults over 18 in the Kingdom by 31 July.
